la femme discography

after yann tiersen, therapie taxi and videoclub, this is the fourth french artist/group that I'm writing about ever since starting this blog. I discovered la femme thanks to matthieu reynaud's playlist nid avant concert, which has one of their iconic songs elle ne t'aime pas. I've been a fan since and I've seen their concert at howard theater in dc in 2024.

my favorite part about la femme is probably their spotify playlists: sleep, after and during sex, etc. they somehow managed to find the most hypnotic songs. after about a month, I finally finished curating my favorite lines from their discography. my other favorite thing is their versatility in having songs in different languages, from french in the previous albums to spanish in teatro lúcido and finally english in rock machine. there's even arabic in some albums if you look for it.

la femme is founded in 2010 in biarritz by sacha got and marlon magnée. its current members are sam lefèvre, noé delmas, fanny luzignant, and michelle blades. its past members are clara luciani, clémence quélennec, lucas nunez ritter, marilou chollet, pandora decoster, jane peynot, meghan edwards, and ysé grospiron.

around the end of 2025, there's been announcements that the group will do individual projects, which means this is a pause or the end of la femme.
